The Victory At Sea Bismarck pack contains:
The Bismarck was a "fast battleship" laid down at the Blohm & Voss shipyard in July 1936, launched in February 1939 and commissioned in 1940, partly in response to the French Richelieu class, and was one of the heaviest ships ever successfully launched for the Kriegsmarine, coming in at a hefty 50,000 tons when at full load.
Armed with 8 x 15 inch / 380mm guns housed in twin-barrel turrets, while a 320mm thick main armour belt, and a 100-120mm thick main deck granted the ship both exceptional protection and impressive firepower.
A top speed of up to 30 knots meant that he was among the fastest battleships of his size to grace the Western front during World War 2.
Bismarck was one of the mightiest battleships in the Atlantic, which required considerable resources and sacrifices on the British Royal Navy's part to sink.
